Novita is a smart and sophisticated 60-seat trattoria serving a seasonally inspired, modern, Italian menu. Opened in November of 1994 by the same dedicated kitchen team working today, Novita has established a widely recognized reputation for consistently delicious food and congenial top-notch service.

Novita is located in the Gramercy Park neighborhood of Manhattan on a quiet tree-lined street. In the warmer months a 14-seat sidewalk cafe is opened and patrons have the option of dining alfresco under canvas market umbrellas. A 12-seat private dining alcove off the main room can be reserved for intimate dinner parties, business luncheons and/or presentations.

Chef/partner Marco Fregonese's modern adaptation of classical Italian cooking was developed over an accomplished 40-year culinary career that began in Piedmonte/Lombardy Italy under the tutelage of the regions most celebrated chefs. His culinary philosophy is quality, simplicity and innovation.
