Stockholm Old Town Walk + Vasa Museum

Learn about the naval history of Sweden from Old Town to the Vasa Museum

Starting from Stortorget, the main public square in Old Town Stockholm, you will set out on a guided walk of Sweden's capital city to discover its history and highlights. After exploring the hidden gems of Old Town, including the Royal Palace, the Swedish Parliament buildings, and the Nobel Museum, board a public ferry for a short sail between the nearby islands. Cross the harbor to the island of Djurgården, where more adventure awaits at one of the most popular museums in Sweden – the Vasa Museum. Enter the world-famous Vasa Museum, home to the world's oldest, best-preserved ship, the grand warship _Vasa_. This beauty was built in the 1600s when the Swedish Empire was the dominant naval force in Northern Europe. Not only is the _Vasa_ an artistic masterpiece, but she also has a fabulous story, including sinking on her maiden voyage. At the Vasa Museum, you'll get a brief overview of the major artifacts and the rest of the tour will be yours to explore independently.
