Get closer to some of our earliest ancestors in Drenthe
History doesn't get any older than this in the Netherlands. Drenthe's _hunebedden_ are prehistoric tombstones built by the Funnel Beaker Culture. The stones themselves are about 150,000 years old! The largest of these rocky arrangements, the ingeniously named _D27_, is just a stone's throw from the hunebed museum. Find out where the famous dolmens came from and learn about the first humans' traditions and daily lives. See a fascinating boulder garden, a Prehistoric Park, and more!
